1. Compile, edit and produce the Local’s newsletters
2. Maintain the Local’s website
3. Ensure that there are union bulletin boards on all work sites and ensure that all information on the bulletin boards is current
4. To provide relevant and up to date information that is accessible to all memebers
5. Chair the Communications Committee

Community and Environment Committee (Chair – Nicole Dargent)

1. Chair the Environment Committee
2. To promote Green initiatives within the local communities and abroad
3. Create posters for Earth day and Coloring Contest

CUPE Fraser Valley District Council or FVDC (Chair – Kim Jackson)

1. Attend monthly meetings and represent CUPE 402 at FVDC
2. Provide updates on issues and events with other CUPE locals in the Fraser Valley region
3. Report back to the executive and membership

Fraser Valley and District Labour Council or FVDLC (Chair – Kim Jackson)

1. Attend monthly meetings and represent CUPE 402 at FVDLC
2. Provide updates on issues and events with other Unions in the Fraser Valley region
3. Report back to the executive and membership

Health and Safety (Chair – Aman Cheema)

1. Chair Health and Safety committee meetings with 402 members
2. To support and foster the Health and Safety of all workers in their environment
3. Attend Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee(JOHSC) meetings with 402 members and management
4. Keep up to date and to help facilitate new information on new safety requirements, policies and procedures
5. In committee meetings, support and collaborate with members on how to create a plan to reduce or eliminate hazards in the workplace

CUPE Metro (Chair – Monika Dean)

1. Attend monthly meetings and represent CUPE 402 at Metro
2. Provide updates on issues and events with other CUPE locals in the Metro region
3. Report back to the executive and membership

New West and District Labour Council or NWDLC (Chair – )

1. Attend monthly meetings and represent CUPE 402 at NWDLC
2. Provide updates on issues and events with other Unions in the region
3. Report back to the executive and membership

Scholarship Committee (Chair – Terence Eytcheson)

1. Chair the Scholarship Committee
2. Update the forms every year
3. Gather information every year for the members or member’s children who applied for these scholarships
4. Present at the General Meeting those lucky recipients who were awarded those scholarships

Shop Steward Committee (Chair – )

1. Chair the Shop Stewards Committee and sit on the Grievance Committee

Women’s Committee (Chair – Nicole Dargent)

1. Chair the Women’s Committee
2. Organize 3 to 4 events a year for donations
3. To support and help those in the community while promoting family values
