Auxiliary Executive At Large: Nicole Dargent

Hi my name is Nicole.

I have been with the city for over 10 years in a variety of roles.  I started out as a fitness instructor, moved onto weight room and facility attendant as well as personal trainer, programmer and I am also a call center representative.  In my years of working for the city I have had the opportunity to work at Newton, South, Fleetwood, Guildford, North, the new north and Cloverdale/Clayton which allowed me to create relationships within those town centers.

I’ve been a part of the union since my hire on and recently have taken on a more active role in representing the Auxiliary workers.  I was a part of a committee that pushed for the fitness instructors to become part of our CUPE family.

In my downtime, I run an online school platform that offers continuing education credits to Fitness professionals Canada wide, and I am also a CFES (Canadian Fitness Education) Educator and Skills assessor as well as a BCRPA Supervisor of Fitness Leaders.  I teach fitness courses and workshops. And if I actually do have spare time, I’m usually on the water kayaking or paddle boarding, quadding or out playing soccer.
