President: Monika Dean

Since attending my first CUPE 402 General Meeting in 2015, I’ve gotten involved with the Women’s, Environment, Peer to Peer, and Social Committees. I have been on the Executive Board since May 2016, first as an Executive at Large, then Communications Executive, 2nd Vice President and currently 1st Vice President. I chair the Community and Political Action, Young Workers, and Communications Committees. My top priorities are keeping all of our members updated on what’s happening as well as connecting the residents of Surrey with the work we do in our community through public events.

In my spare time, I’m on the executive board with the CUPE Metro District Council, and have served as Recording Secretary for the CUPE BC Young Worker’s Committee and an Alternate Regional Vice President for CUPE BC. In my spare spare time, I help out with United Way initiatives and sometimes even take my chocolate lab for long walks.
