President: Darcy McPartlin

I have been a city employee since 1999 and have actively been involved in the union for most of my career. I first got involved as a Shop Steward, then went on to an Executive at Large, Secretary,  2nd Vice President, and am now 1st Vice President of the local. I believe in being collaborative, looking for solutions outside the box and being available to the members of our local.

I focus on representing members in Grievances, Return to Work Accommodations, Union Sick Bank, Addiction, Peer to Peer Support, Conflict Resolution, Respectful Workplace Issues and all issues that employees may face.

My union education includes Facing Management, Duty to Accommodate, Union Counselling I & II, Critical Incident Stress, Collective Bargaining I & II, Mental Health First Aid, and Psychologically Healthy Workplaces. In addition, I studied – Labour Negotiations, Organizational Behaviour, Wage and Salary Compensation and Labour Law at BCIT.
